Facility
In July 0f 2003 HME moved into our expanded headquarters in Wyoming, MI. With more than three acres under roof it provides modern new offices for Sales, Production, Service and Accounting. An important part of our commitment is the expansion of our Engineering department, equipping our people with the finest computers and software. Talented people and the finest tools to deign and build the best!

Our assembly technicians benefit from the open production area; advanced lighting, overhead cranes, compressed air and electrical systems provide maximum efficiency in a safe environment. The state of-of-the-art testing facility is within the factory and sits above dual 40,000 water tanks to allow testing of multiple vehicles in any weather.

The all-new climate controlled customer acceptance facility is equipped with special lighting and all tools necessary for a thorough inspection of any apparatus, regardless of its size. The adjoining lounge / office provides a comfortable quarters for both customers and dealers; access to the Internet is available.

HME, Inc. is located within two miles of three major highways and is convenient to the Gerald R. Ford International Airport that serves the West Michigan area.

Office facilities:
Open space facilities help keep our staff alert and productive. A state-of-the-art phone system was installed to assure efficient communication with all HME personnel without unnecessary delays. All computers have been upgraded or replaced to be the most modern available. This equipment keeps our people up and running, able to serve you better!

The process consists of assembly stations working on specific modules with the assemblies coming together in a neat and organized fashion. Inspections are performed during assembly to assure an unparalleled level of quality and compliance with the specifications. Final HME inspection is thorough, performed before customers come for delivery!

  

Test Facilities:

Inspections are performed during assembly to assure an unparalleled level of quality and compliance with the specifications. Final HME inspection is thorough, performed before customers come for delivery! Precision engineering and careful attention to detail in the assembly process can only be proven through rigorous testing of the apparatus. HME boasts two fully equipped test facilities, each sitting above their own 36,000 gallon water tank allowing for multiple testing of apparatus any time of the year, regardless of weather. Done to NFPA standards, these tests include the pump and plumbing, 12-V electrical and lighting systems and on-board AC electrical power equipment. Done right and verified to provide the ultimate in service.

Inspection Area:
A high point of your purchase is the inspection at the HME plant prior to taking delivery. We've provided an attractive climate controlled facility for you to work, making sure that we've done everything right and that your new HME apparatus meets your expectations! State of the art lighting allows you to evaluate fit and finish (the best in our industry!), creepers and auxiliary lights give you the opportunity to check us out from the underside too! Our personnel are at your service to address concerns and make things right, to assure 100% satisfaction on your part. Drive past our plant at night and see your apparatus "showcased" behind the glass wall, highlighted by spotlights for everyone to see. "Prospective Customers :
The City of Stamford, Connecticut has entered into an agreement with HME Corporation to purchase fire apparatus. The city has purchased six rescue style engines recently . While we are awaiting the delivery of three units this spring there are three units in service now.

This fire organization is pleased with the quality of the dealer involvement, expertise, and attention to detail we have received and continue to receive from Joe Birarelli, Pete Schaumberg and Robert Lyman .
