109' Aerial

HME offers a full line of dependable aerials backed by unparalleled customer service. Manufactured and tested to meet or exceed NFPA 1901 standards each aerial is structurally inspected and certified by Underwriters Laboratories. Whether your need is for a 60’ stick or a 104’ platform you can count on HME to provide a product you can fly.
Leading the industry, the HME Ahrens-Fox® stainless steel apparatus body allows for configurations of side or center hose loads, 500 gallons of water and huge compartments. Special attention to rear body overhangs in our design makes for a truck that can fully utilize the 45 degree cramp angle.

Simple Operation:
•From a -5 degree angle down to a 75 degree angle up, the aerial is under constant monitoring with alarms that sound should you exceed the rated load.
•One latching handle to change monitor position. No pins, no plugs, no reels.
•Radio remote control allows aerial and nozzle control on the fire ground.
Superb performance:
•500 pound tip load while flowing 1000 GPM to each side.
•Soft touch controls available that automatically ramp and slow down on extension/retraction and elevation, bedding the aerial and fully lowering the ladder to minus 5 degrees.
•Envelope control is available to avoid aerial contact with the cab.

"I just wanted to send you this note and tell you how pleased we are with the new addition to our Fire Department family. Last year we purchased a 109 foot Aerial Ladder from HME. This was the first new purchase for a vehicle of this type in the departments 50 year history. Since getting "Ladder-1" it has been both a source of pride as well as a valuable tool for protecting our community.

From the very beginning of the process, we knew a Quint type of unit would fit our needs. The 109 was more of a truck than we ever imagined we could afford. It has more ladder reach, more water on wheels and more pumping capacity than any other of the Quints in our area. Our selection began with visiting your website and finding Ladder-1 as a demo unit. Mr. Joe Merrill then met with us and showed off the vehicle to our crews and elected officials. After presenting this unique deal to our township board of trustees and showing them how it will serve the community well into the future, it was a unanimous vote to purchase the truck.

Ladder-1 is not our only HME. In 2001, we purchased an engine from HME which still runs first out on all fires and auto accidents. I must also compliment you on the service you provide to your owners. Anytime we have had a problem with either truck, just a phone call is all it took to remedy the problem.

My thanks to everyone who made this possible. And a special thanks to Joe Merrill. He was great to work with, and got all of our questions answered. The HME investment was a good one for our community. We are also proud to say that HME is built in Michigan! That carries a lot of weight, especially in this economy. When it comes time to look for our next piece of fire apparatus, you can be sure we will look to HME."
